What is Core Web Vitals?
Core Web Vitals are three measurements Google takes of how a page feels to a real visitor: how quickly the main content appears, how quickly the page responds to a tap, and whether things jump around while it loads. Google uses them as a ranking signal and reports them in Search Console.
What it means for a small service business
In practice they mean: does your website load on a phone on a patchy signal before the buyer gives up. Big uncompressed photos, heavy page builders and cheap hosting are the usual failures. The speed test shows Google’s own numbers for your page.
Does your business need to do anything about Core Web Vitals?
Yes if the speed test scores under 50. Between 50 and 90 it is worth fixing in a rebuild; over 90 leave it alone.
