The short version
This site sets no advertising cookies, no tracking across other websites, and nothing gets sold. It uses one analytics tool and a couple of small browser preferences. If that ever changes, this page changes first and the date at the top moves.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
Google Analytics counts visits: which pages get read, roughly where visitors are, what device they use. It sets cookies beginning _ga, which persist for up to 2 years. It is configured without advertising features and is used solely to understand whether the site is doing its job. If you would rather not be counted, block cookies for this site in your browser, or install Google's own opt-out add-on.
Browser preferences (not cookies, but similar)
The site stores a small preference or two in your browser's local storage, such as remembering choices you make on interactive pages. These stay on your device, identify nothing about you, are never transmitted anywhere, and vanish if you clear your browser data.
Strictly necessary things
If a future feature needs a cookie simply to function (keeping you signed in to something, remembering a form between pages), it will be used for exactly that and listed here. Functional necessities do not need your consent under UK rules, but they do get named.
If consent tools appear
If this site ever adds tools that legally require consent (advertising, embedded social content, anything that follows you around), a consent choice will appear before they run, declining will be as easy as accepting, and this page will list every tool by name. That is a commitment, not a maybe.

What happens to information you type into forms is covered by the privacy policy, which is the page that actually matters.
Managing cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking this site's cookies loses you nothing except being counted.
