By text and email, held for 60 days. Say yes when you're ready and pick a date that suits from our live diary.
3 · Done, tidied, certified
We turn up when we said, dust-sheet everything, hoover before we leave, and any certificate is issued the same day. Then we ask you to tell Google how it went.
Fence down? Tree across the drive? Garden under water?Storm damage answered same day. We make it safe first, photograph it for any insurance claim, and price the proper fix after.
Full back garden: patio, raised beds, turf. The plan showed exactly what we'd get and the price never moved, even when the dig hit old concrete footings. Finished a day early.

How much does a patio cost?
A standard 20m² in Indian sandstone is £2,400 to £3,500 fully installed: dig-out, sub-base, pointing, the lot. You approve a scale plan with the exact price before a spade goes in.
Do I need planning permission for a driveway?
Almost never with us: over 5m² of non-permeable surface draining to the road needs permission, so we design permeable drainage as standard and the rule doesn't apply.
When can you cut my hedge?
Any time, EXCEPT when birds are nesting in it (roughly March to August; disturbing an active nest is an offence). We check before we cut and book big reductions for autumn and winter.

Every build starts with a measure and a scale plan. You approve the plan and the exact price together, pay 25% for materials, and nothing gets dug until you've said yes. If the dig turns up surprises, old footings, bad ground, we stop, show you, and re-quote before carrying on.

About us
Dave, Ellie, and a yard that smells of cut grass.
Dave Fairclough started with a mower and a trailer in 2012. Ellie joined in 2020 and runs the planting and the maintenance rounds. Small on purpose: the person who draws your garden plan is the person stood in your garden building it.
Licensed, provably
Registered waste carriers (your green waste leaves legally), PA1/PA6 certified for weed treatments. Ask to see any of it.
Insured, properly
£5m public liability, plant and machinery covered. Documents on request without a fuss, because you should be asking every trade for them.
Local, actually
The yard's in Eccleston and half our work comes from the same streets we did last year. If a job's not our thing, we'll say so and point you at someone good.

How much does a patio cost?
£2,400 to £3,500 for a standard 20m² in Indian sandstone, more for porcelain. That's dug out, sub-based, laid and pointed, not flags dropped on sand. Fixed written price from an approved plan.
How much is a block paved driveway?
A typical 50m² double drive is £4,800 to £6,500. We design permeable drainage as standard, which keeps you inside planning rules and stops the puddles.
Do I need planning permission for a driveway?
Over 5m² of non-permeable surface draining towards the road needs permission. Permeable surfaces, or drainage to a lawn or border inside your boundary, don't. We design permeable as standard, so in almost every case the answer is no.
When can hedges be cut?
Garden hedges any time, EXCEPT when birds are nesting: disturbing an active nest is an offence, and nesting season runs roughly March to August. We check before cutting and book major reductions for autumn and winter.
What does a maintenance round cost?
From £110 a month for a fortnightly visit, March to October: mowing, edges, beds, hedges in season, waste taken on our carrier licence. Your round renews each spring; we remind you in February, you're never auto-charged.
Will my new plants survive?
They're chosen for your soil and light, planted properly, and anything that fails in the first year is replaced free. We come back at twelve months to check regardless.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. Measures, plans and quotes are free, in writing, and hold for 60 days.
